Hi! My name is Ariel Frey and Together, we are Montessori.

Who I Am

Personal

My name is Ariel “R-E-L” (she/they). I am a Montessorian of 10 years and a parent to an 8 year old whom I love dearly. We live in Michigan and are big fans of the lake! You can find me in the garden, basking in the sun, reading a good book, playing with my dog, or giggling with friends. I enjoy a delicious tea, a good song, and marveling at all of life’s wonders.

I believe that all children deserve to feel loved, fought for, and celebrated. Montessori allows children to be authentically whole, guided by the intrinsic forces of nature, and support self-construction through independence and collaboration. I believe that children are the hope and future of mankind, just like Maria Montessori said. I am hopeful that we would prepare our environments to support them in their own understanding of self, appreciate the diverse world around us, and begin to advocate and fight for equality and fairness as they step into new areas of development.
Together, I believe we can support them on this journey. Let’s begin!

Education & Training

I graduated from the beloved Montessori Northwest in Portland, OR in 2020! It was one of the highlights of my life and I think back on it fondly.

I also have a bachelors in Early Childhood Education from St. Catherine’s University and have training in Orton-Gillingham to support learners in reading
